This is a BRAND NEW Spiral Gas Furnace HSI (Hot Surface Ignitor). Simply unplug yours and plug this one in! This item is a replacement for Part #s IG101 & SIG101. There are three wiring adapters that come with this Ignitor making it Universal to nearly all furnaces with round ignitors.
Function:The purpose of an ignitor is to ignite the gas after the gas valve opens up. It most cases, the ignitor turns off after ignition has occurred.
